Rigor- Mortis? I am not sure
Dear Aaron I am so disturbed. One thing I was thinking and maybe you know. Don't the bodies have to be posed before rigor mortis sets in? I would think so. I went to nursing school. Once the body is in rigor mortis the bones would have to broken to set the body into the poses we see. It is one thing to say that the people are signing up for this. I do not believe it. The young people without obvious injury of illness- the men with great musculature as I have seen in the photos -I refuse to go of course. This whole thing stinks of murder. Honestly Aaron, I cannot believe that there is not more of an outcry about this. Have you spoken to any doctors? No even soaking the body would soften the bones and make it un-posable

Bodies- The Exhibition
I live in New York. I have seen the subway specials advertising Bodies: The Exhibition. Ads on billboards say See "Bodies"- with a metrocard you can have five dollars off. The bodies in the Bodies and the Body World Exhibitions are often young men and women who have been turned into macabre monstrosities for our viewing "pleasure". I have seen the pictures for years now and I cannot take it anymore. This is a terrible crime. How can we as a society allow this to take place. The bodies are oftenn in healthy condition with no obvious illness, scars, or abnormalities. The musculature of most, of these cadavers, other than the ones displayed as diseased, appears toned and not that of the bodies of those who have been sick, in accidents, or victims of wasting illness. The companies who provide these bodies refuse to provide provenance for them, citing privacy.
